Maruti Suzuki to undertake service campaign for 676 vehicles, affected models include Ertiga and XL6 (NEW)

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (“Maruti Suzuki”) will be undertaking a service campaign for 676 vehicles (Ertiga and XL6), manufactured between 24^th Jun 2022 and 7^th Jul 2022.

It is suspected that there may be a possible issue in the ‘front Driveshaft’ of these affected vehicles, which in a rare case may generate a peculiar noise while turning the vehicle but does not impact the functioning.

Considering customer comfort and convenience, Maruti Suzuki has decided to inspect and replace the front Driveshaft, if required, free of cost.

Affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Maruti Suzuki authorized dealer service workshops for necessary action.

Important information for Customers of Petrol SHVS variants of Ciaz, Ertiga and XL6 models

Keeping in mind customer safety and as a responsible corporate, Maruti Suzuki India Limited today announced to proactively and voluntarily undertake a recall for certain petrol Smart Hybrid (SHVS) variants of Ciaz, Ertiga and XL6 vehicles manufactured between 1st January 2019 to 21st November 2019.

Recall campaigns are undertaken globally to rectify faults that may be potential safety defects.

The Company will inspect 63,493 vehicles of petrol SHVS of Ciaz, Ertiga and XL6 for a possible issue with the Motor Generator Unit (MGU). A possible defect may have occurred in the MGU during manufacturing by an overseas global part supplier.

In the interest of its customers, Maruti Suzuki has decided to proactively recall the vehicles for inspection and those found OK will be released immediately. Vehicles requiring replacement of faulty part will be retained for part replacement free of cost. Keeping in view customer convenience, Maruti Suzuki dealers may make alternate mobility arrangements in such cases, if required.

Starting 6th December 2019 owners of the suspected vehicles under this recall campaign will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers for inspection and replacement of the faulty part.

Important information for Customers of Ciaz – Diesel (Only Zeta & Alpha variants)

New Delhi, October 29, 2018: Maruti Suzuki India Limited will proactively undertake a “Service Campaign” to inspect and replace the Speedometer assembly and Owner’s manual in Zeta and Alpha variants of Ciaz Diesel cars.

Maruti Suzuki has decided to undertake this “Service Campaign”, in the interest of customers. This is not a “Recall” as there is no safety concern involved.

Service campaigns are undertaken globally by automobile companies to rectify faults that may cause inconvenience to customers.

880 vehicles of the Ciaz Diesel (Only Zeta and Alpha variants) manufactured between 1st August 2018 and 21st September 2018 will be covered in this “Service Campaign”.

Starting 29th October 2018 owners of the vehicles included in this “Service Campaign” will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers for inspection and replacement of the part free of cost.

Customers of Ciaz Diesel (Only Zeta and Alpha variants) are requested to fill in the chassis number MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number on the computer screen. The chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and is also in the vehicle invoice/registration documents.
